What is punishment for making false allegations? KNOWINGLY trying to add charges.?

boyfriends ex-wife filed police report saying he burglarized her apartment. He did enter thinking she was abandoning it like she has at least 4 different apts in last 2 years. He has been charged with felony burglary and clearly must face consequences, She also said he took a gun and bow and arrow. She's saying this because he was convicted of felony 20yrs ago and CANNOT have any weapons or we're talking major consequences...and she knows that! He didn't take them and I think I can prove it because I've contacted her ex-boyfriend who I'm praying will say he has them and that she knows he has it! If that's the case what can she be charged with, what is the penalty and who do I speak to?
